Partnering with Conrad Academy for 3D Printing Education

We are incredibly proud to officially welcome Conrad Academy as a partner and beneficiary of the Light Up a Dream initiative. Co-sponsored by Generative CAD Services Limited (GCAD) and Flashforge, this program is designed to equip schools with modern digital manufacturing tools and foster a new generation of confident problem solvers.

At Generative CAD, our foundational mission is to democratise access to engineering tools across Africa. We achieve this by integrating hands-on STEAM education with on-demand digital manufacturing. When we sought to expand this vision, we looked for educational institutions that shared our passion for transforming the traditional classroom. Conrad Academy stood out as a perfect match. Their enthusiasm to integrate practical design tools into their learning environment aligns flawlessly with our goal of building sustainable, value-driven educational partnerships.

A Framework for Collaborative Success

Our approach to this initiative is deeply rooted in collaboration. We firmly believe that a 3D printer should be an active catalyst for critical thinking, design thinking, and real-world problem solving. It is never just an equipment handover.

Through our structured Donation Partnership Framework, GCAD is providing Conrad Academy with a Flashforge Adventurer 5M. This high-performance, user-friendly 3D printer is perfectly tailored for both classroom environments and professional prototyping. Alongside the core equipment, we have supplied starter filaments and a comprehensive onboarding to ensure the staff is confident in operating and maintaining the technology safely.

To truly embed this technology into their daily lessons, we have also provided a complementary 3d design (Tinkercad) and 3d printing curriculum through GCAD Academy and committed to further providing access to other revelant educational resources. Teachers at Conrad Academy will be able to leverage materials from the GCAD Academy to seamlessly introduce 3D design into their learning curriculum. This ensures that educators have the robust support they need to create engaging, project-based learning experiences.

Turning Ideas into Reality: Tinkercad Training

We are thrilled to share that the students at Conrad Academy have already begun their journey into digital design. Training sessions using Tinkercad have officially started, introducing these bright young minds to the fundamentals of 3D modeling.

Watching the students transition from conceptualising ideas to actually building them in a digital space has been inspiring. Soon, they will take the next step and bring those digital models to life using their new Flashforge Adventurer 5M 3D printer. This workflow empowers them to see firsthand how technology bridges the gap between imagination and tangible impact.

Follow the Journey

The success of the Light Up a Dream initiative relies heavily on shared commitment. Conrad Academy has already demonstrated exceptional readiness by nominating dedicated staff leads and committing to active utilisation. As the official authorized distributor for Flashforge in West Africa, we are honored to put these cutting-edge tools directly into their hands.

We invite you to follow Conrad Academy online to witness the incredible projects their students will create. You can explore their official website at conradacademy.ng or connect with them across their active social media platforms on Instagram and Facebook.

Together, we are unlocking the transformative value of 3D design and 3D printing to create a lasting, practical impact for the future of work.
